Mexican Moonlight Dining Series Part III: J&G Grill Mexico - Fine Dining with the Diana Cazadora & The Harvest Moon!

The Place: J&G Grill Mexico - Fine Dining with the Diana Cazadora & The Harvest Moon!

The Experience: Gringo G, your favorite Gringo Mexico City Foodie Blog, in search of the best views of the famous October Harvest Moon (a Mexican legend states that the most stunning moonlight can be seen in October) headed to one of the most prestigous hotels in Mexico, the St. Regis, where inside the J&G Grill possesses a terrace overlooking the always lustrous La Diana Cazadora Monument on Paseo de la Reforma that is even more splendid under the October Moonlight.

J&G is all about the créme de la créme concept: from the quality of its amazing location & view to the service to the top-end ingredients & food to the price point. Gringo G enjoyed a fantastic Hamachi Sashimi accompanied by a creative Ginger Margarita with Tequila Reposado followed by a complimentary steaming hot squash soup with huitlacoche. The second course Gringo G devoured was a rich, decadent Beef Carpaccio Pizza along with a Whiskey Fizz (with Passion Fruit or "Maracuyá").

The entire experience was professional, top-end and the view of the moonlit October sky with the Diana shining in all her glory under the moonlight was a fantastic way to close out this Mexican October Moonlight Dining Series!

Location: Paseo de la Reforma 439, intersection with Río Misisipi, Colonia Cuauhtémoc, DF.

The Specials:

The Hamachi Sashimi was a mind-numbing flavor rainbow, just like the exquisite presentation shown below, and if up to Gringo G could be consumed with the Whiskey Fizz with Maracuyá (Passion Fruit) alone on a nice moonlit night on the J&G Terrace!

The Beef Carpaccio Pizza was rich, decadent and with a wide range of flavors. Other recommendations that can be seen on line are the short ribs and the Avocado & Cilantro Pizza.
