La experiencia: The Beer Factory es uno de los primeros lugares en México que comenzaron a producir su propia cerveza y desde entonces se ha expandido a varias locaciones en la Ciudad de México e incluso en otros países de Latinoamérica.

Si buscas un lugar típico para celebrar en el maratón Guadalupe Reyes con los Godínez de la oficina éste es definitivamente el lugar. Hay una gran oferta de alitas, hamburguesas, pastas y lo más importante, chela helada artesanal.

The Experience: The Beer Factory is one of the first places in Mexico to start trying to brew their own micro-brews and has since expanded to many locations throughout Mexico City and Latin America.

If you are looking for a typical Guadalupe Reyes office worker watering hole this is definetely it. There is a large offering of wings, burgers, pastas and most of all ice cold housemade microbrews!

Serie Guadalupe Reyes PARTE I de IV: Maratón mexicano del alcohol - Guadalupe Reyes Cantina Leyenda de la Condesa!

El lugar: Guadalupe Reyes Cantina Parte I de IV: ¡La manera perfecta de comenzar el maratón mexicano del alcohol!

La experiencia: El maratón anual Guadalupe Reyes comienza el 12 de diciembre, el día de la Virgen de Guadalupe, y se extiende casi un mes hasta las celebraciones del Día de Reyes, el 6 de enero. Consiste en tomar de manera ininterrumpida entre esas dos fechas, si se puede diario mejor. Gringo G conoce personas que han hecho el maratón y cree que podrían ser mutantes en realidad.

Para Gringo G no hay mejor manera de comenzar esta serie que con el famoso bar de la colonia Condesa que tomó su nombre de esta carrera de resistencia fiestera, Guadalupe Reyes Cantina. El bar trata de cumplir el mantra del Guadalupe Reyes: ir a un bar local lleno con buenas bebidas, cerveza y botanas mexicanas para celebrar el fin de un buen año.

El Guadalupe Reyes le hace honor a su nombre y tiene un ambiente animado para comenzar el invierno de diversión con bebidas. Se caracteriza porque a él llegan grandes grupos de motociclistas que han adoptado al bar como punto de encuentro lo que le da un sabor más intenso (pero no te apures son motociclistas buena onda).

Tips: No hay reservaciones y el fin de semana suele estar bastante lleno además de que es un bar relativamente pequeño, ¡recomendamos ir en grupos de no más de 4!

The Place: Guadalupe Reyes Cantina: The Perfect Way to Start the Annual Mexican Drink-A-Thon!

The Experience: Guadalupe Reyes is as described in the title an annual Mexican Winter Drink-A-Thon that starts on December 12, the Day of the Vírgen de Guadalupe, and runs almost a full calendar month through the celebration of the Epiphany on January 6 known in Spanish as the Día de Reyes (the Three Kings of the Epiphany). It consists of drinking uninterrupted between these dates, daily if possible. Gringo G knows people who have completed this entire marathon of drinking!

There is no better way to start this Series off than with a visit to the now infamous Condesa Bar with the same name, Guadalupe Reyes Cantina, which strives for and many times achieves the basic mantra of Guadalupe Reyes … make sure to head to a crowded local bar with good beer, drinks and Mexican finger food all winter.

Guadalupe Reyes in the Condesa definitely fulfills this motto and really does offer a lively atmosphere to begin the beer drinking winter fun … particularly if the large groups of motor-bikers who call the place home are outside and inside creating an even more intense ambiance (don’t worry they are safe and in general even friendly in Gringo G's experiences)!
